Look. I made menswear again... >.>

---

Dress to impress every day. You're reminded of those words every time you open your closet doors, looking for something for the day. You know those words so well, the stuffy suits are perfectly tailored, the tie coordinating with an exact precision that's customized for you by someone who styles people for a living. You're not reminded because your wardrobe was exactly created for you. No, you're reminded because every single time you look in the mirror, you don't see you. You see her. You're the male clone of her, from the dark hair and eyes to the very same expression; lips a thin line pressed together, eyes alert under slightly furrowed brows. It's the default expression, one that many seem to think is one of annoyance, regardless of what you truly are thinking or feeling.

You're the physical clone of her with his personality. You lost that ability to be your own person, molded and shaped into his idea of the perfect man. You don't feel like one though; you feel like the emotionally abused child who just couldn't get Daddy's approval no matter how hard you tried.

It's pathetic looking back on it.

You sigh as you pull on your trusty leather jacket, needing an escape from your suits and stiff collars. Something relaxed and less formal, something that fits your sudden Devil-may-care attitude. Something that's uniquely you, because for the first time in a long time, you're not going to be the perfect mixture of either.

princesse de la rue
"The rings," she asks with a smile, extending her long fingers even further, showing off every last jewel on each. "Gifts. One from my best friend," she points to a ring with a mustache shape. "One from my parents," her finger jumps to a bejeweled ring with various colors. "My godparents," it looks like a silver flower. "And this one," she asks as she points at the last ring, this one on her left hand, on her ring finger, two-interlocking hearts. "This one is from Jacob Finch."
It seems a simple name, but it seems to have quite the affect on the girl, her whole face lighting up in a smile, lips curled back in a display of her youth. A slight flush tickling the apples of her cheeks, the back of her ears.
"It's quite special, and my favorite."
